The eyes of your heart
I have neglected to continue writing this blog and I apologize to anyone (all 3 of you-ha) who actually followed my blogspot. So much has happened since I last posted. Because of what has happened, I now will continue to post in this blogspot and again I feel terrible for just neglecting this project.
One of the hardest pills I´ve swallowed this year has been finding time to just focus my attention on God and His Word and applying all of it to my life. So I am very certain I´m not alone in finding time to focus on who is important, our Creator. What if I told you that starting your day with Bible reading and prayer not only focuses you on Him, not yourself but your day is ordered and you get the game plan for your day. I know, you will not find your calendar of to doś in your Bible. Your Bible will help you order your to doś and in what order.
Since my last post, life has taken so many twists and turns. The tapestry of my life has to be brilliant for every heartache and blessing God has given me. I am reminded of Ephesians 1:18-20. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms.
God loves you and desires for you to spend time alone with Him. Who and what you make time for in your life will show the importance of your heart. Do not misunderstand me, I know we have families, children, jobs, and all the activities these people and careers take up in our lives. It was cute to be reminded last night at Bible study that when you have small children, sometimes your only álone time is in the bathroom. Take it!! If that is all you can get, take it, sit on the throne and pour your heart out to God in prayer. Keep a Bible or devotional in the bathroom to pick up and read when you get just 3 to 4 minutes of time to yourself.
Back to Ephesians 1:18-20,eyes of your heart, many times looking at someone or their situation through our eyeballs connected to our brain brings about judgement or pity but the eyes of your heart. Do you desire to know and do Godś Will for your life? Quiet time. Bible reading and studying. Here is a new one for me, prayer partners. Get you a praying buddy, someone who can help encourage you and your walk with Jesus. God knows your heart and your intentions. If you truly desire to spend time with Him and read His word, then He will surely help you to rise early and get time with Him. Starting your day postively will give you positive results. No promises that your day will be sunshine and rainbows but you will definetly have a better mental attitude about your day and toward others.
My prayer for you today is this, find time to give God your undivided attention and truly seek His presence and His voice. He loves you and wants the relationship He has with you to be your favorite. Yes, I said it. God wants to be your favorite. Let your actions reflect that you love Him.
